Bio

Welcome to my bio page- AND WELCOME TO THE SHARK!

Besides listening to my sister Pat's Beatles "45s" growing up, one of my my first real rock and roll memories was in the late 70s, back in my home state of Ohio. Me and my buddies went out to a club called the Youngstown Agora to get a few beers and listen to a band called, uh... "Journey" or something like that (!)

After graduating from Niles McKinley High School- home of the 25th President and the Red Dragons football team- I attended broadcasting school in Western Pennsylvania and was hired by a rockin' radio station called Y-103! Used to love those phone calls from AC/ DC fans asking if I had "Big Balls".

That's "Big Balls", the SONG, of course!

I fell in love with the Jersey Shore, got sand in my shoes (and other less desirable places!) and moved out here in 1984. After many stations, locations and a brief stint at a Philadelphia ad agency, I was in a near fatal auto accident in 1987 caused by a "libation- impaired" driver (translation: he wasn't legally drunk, but pretty damn close).

I wasn't quite ready for a "Permanent Vacation" (my apologies to Aerosmith!), so after a 30-day hospital stay and six months of therapy, I returned to the radio. That's where I met my Future Better Half, Colleen. We married in 1990.

This is my second tour of duty at Green Broadcast Plaza... and it's great to be back! I love playing your favorite songs and, to paraphrase the Rolling Stones (with apologies to Mick and Keith!)-"Let's Spend Some Time Together"...  weekday afternoons from 3 till 7p, 9am- 3pm Saturdays and 10am- 4pm Sundays on Classic Rock 103-Point-7 The Shark!
